HipHopDX Premiere – Burgeoning Zimbabwe rapper Bantu has linked with fellow Zimbabwean Dr. Chaii for their new collaborative EP, Coming To America Vol. 1. Bantu’s multicultural background shines on every song and spotlights a collage of unique sounds, rhythms and stories.

“We spent a year working on this EP,” Bantu tells HipHopDX. “It’s been a crazy ride. We must have made over 30 songs. Having grown up in Zimbabwe, we were exposed to so many different genres and rhythms. Coming to America Vol.1 is a fusion of Afro-Caribbean inspired sounds from the perspective of two Zimbabweans. It’s a crazy time we’re living in, but we just wanted to bring a little bit of joy and vibes to everybody.”
