#BN2019Epilogues: For Petra, 2019 Was the Toughest Year of Her Life

Spread the love

For many, 2019 has been a year of ups, downs and many stories. We know you have a lot to tell us and we have asked that, as one big family, we all share our stories, joy, pain, wins, losses and successes through the year.

Petra found plenty of ‘love’ in 2019… and lost love too. Awww

2019 was the toughest year of my life; full of challenges, depression, tears, more sober reflections and losses.

The worst part of my life is what I am currently battling – my Project Supervisor! 2019 makes it about 10 years after secondary school, but here I am battling my project supervisor year in, year out. I have missed out on several graduating lists, I am currently restarting this project and I hope to be among those who will join the next list by January. This has caused me sleepless nights and depression, but I know I would get there.

When I am done, I will personally file a harassment charge against him.

2019 was a year of mixed feelings too. My family relocated outside the shores of this country and I insisted I would not join them until I have my B.Sc certificate, so I would continue with MSc instead of starting afresh (now you see why I get frustrated, lol). Makes it just me here!

If there is one thing I am grateful for, it is the fact that I have a good job which keeps me busy and pays the bills to an extent. In the year 2019, I am grateful for life, especially my family. I love them and would want to see them live forever💓! Grateful for good health (never went to a hospital this year).

I found plenty of love 😂😂😂😂 and lost plenty as well. Why? They wanted marriage and I declined them all because I needed to have at least a B.Sc before that and they all discharged me. Back to square one again o😂 I deserve the award for  ‘Miss Lonley 2019’. hehehe

Did I achieve anything in 2019? Yup!

I went for several certified training, I learned how to makeup, skate, make bags and shoes and improved my cooking skills – all for myself!

2020 will be a year where I promise to save more, go out more, love more, give more, make more friends, learn new activities and be open to every opportunity. I have moved my 2019 plans to 2020😂, I was actually destabilized.

So here is my 2019 self looking at my 2020 self as a serious-minded, positive, happy, financially stable and emotionally happy person. I promise not to disappoint my 2020 self!
