Isaiah 16: ” When oppression and destruction have ceased and enemy raiders have disappeared, then David’s throne will be established by love. From that throne, a faithful king will reign, one who always does what is just and right.” New Living Translation.
When I read this verse a few days ago, it says David’s throne will be built on love. I just kept on reading that as well and thinking about it. The word used for love there is “chesed” and it means mercy, goodness, kindness faithfulness.
Because when Jesus was born into the world, in a cave [because the houses were built onto caves which is where they kept the animals.
Stables are not around or even invented at that time] he came in love because he wanted a people for himself and wanted to bring us back to him.
John 3:16 NET “For this is the way God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”
God the Father loves the world and he had a rescue plan to bring mankind back to him. He sent Jesus into the world to redeem or buy us back and bring us into the Kingdom of God. So today we celebrate Jesus’ birth because a baby being born is very significant. It means the start of a family.
It means the start of God’s plan beginning. It means we can come into God’s family and begin a relationship with the Creator of the universe who understands us completely.
Later on, it says Jesus will establish his Kingdom on earth (Revelation 5: 10) and rule and he will rule in the correct way with justice and do what is right. He is utterly dependable on our God. Would you like to enter into a new relationship with him today? Say that to God, that you want to come into a relationship with Him.
Happy Christmas! Have a blessed and peaceful day with friends and family celebrating Jesus’ birth.
