Mihlali Ndamase apologizes to the LGBTQIA+ community for using derogatory words while attacking her ex-lover, Leeroy Sidambe.

Mihlali sparked controversy this week during a live chat on Instagram where she referred to Leeroy as a double adapter and after-nine, implying he is bisexual.

The influencer faced backlash following the live chat due to the derogatory terms she used.

Taking to her Instagram stories, the YouTuber released a statement apologizing to the community offended by her comments.

“I would like to apologize to the LGBTQIA+ family; my intention was not to harm or offend with the phrases used during my live,” she wrote.

“I acknowledge that a significant portion of my support comes from the LGBTQIA+ community, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the love and support you have shown me since the beginning of my career,” she added.
