Former NBA athlete Charles Barkley is one of the members to confirm the resumption of this year’s NBA season. Earlier this year in March, like many other professional sports leagues, the season was put at a halt due to the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak.

The plans are tentatively to resume play in late July this summer, taking place at Orlando’s Walt Disney World complex. The location has plans to serve as a “campus” site for all of the 30 NBA teams in the league. Mike Bass, NBA spokesman releases a statement, “Our priority continues to be the health and safety of all involved, and we are working with public health experts and government officials on a comprehensive set of guidelines to ensure that appropriate medical protocols and protections are in place.”
