“I spent ten years in South Africa,” Chidinma’s dad says in an interview

Interview of Chidinma’s father goes viral

Father of Miss SA finalist Chidinma Vanessa Adetshina had an interview amid the controversy surrounding his daughter.

The man talked about how he settled in South Africa and opened up about his citizenship.

“I’m a Nigerian, and my wife is a South African, and I spent ten years in South Africa,” he said.

He further claimed that his children are South Africans, and revealed how he met his wife, whose citizenship is controversial.

He continued: “I met my wife in the UK, she is a South African. In 2010, during the World Cup, we decided that we were going to visit South Africa. At that time, we didn’t have children. That was my first time entering South Africa.”

Chidinma’s dad said he got married to his wife in SA with a visitor visa.

“With a visitor visa, I got married to my wife in South Africa.”

“It’s called dual citizen; they are both. They are Nigerian kids that have every single right that you have as a South African”.

The interview video went viral on social media, and further enraged people.
